Planet Partnerships is leading the mobilization of private investment and blended finance for projects and businesses that reduce ocean plastics and improve marine conservation in Sri Lanka and Maldives.

We are also advising on policy reforms to promote investment in plastics alternatives and waste management. Our team is also driving strategic partnerships with plastics manufacturers, fishing companies, recycling, apparel and textiles producers, coastal conservation, eco-tourism, and financial institutions.

Transaction Advisory Services

Among other partnerships, we are completing market analysis, feasibility studies, and investment structuring for a bottle-to-bottle recycling facility, impact investment fund, pyrolysis plant, biodegradable packaging factory, plastic recycling hub, and e-bike factory for waste collection.

Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling Plant

In partnership with the largest Sri Lankan plastics manufacturer, we are completing a feasibility study for a US$20M Bottle-to-Bottle (B2B) Recycling Plant as a blended finance transaction, which will have a transformative impact on ocean plastics reduction.

Private Sector Engagement Strategy

We developed a customized strategy for the Ocean Plastics Reduction Activity to promote collaboration with private enterprise based on the results of an investment constraints diagnostic, sector selection study, and material flow analysis.

Investment Forum

Our team designed and managed a forum for public-private dialogue on investment constraints and policy reforms to promote plastic recycling and waste management, with 80+ participants in Colombo and Male.
