Planet Partnerships is advising on improvements to public service delivery, enhancing subnational administration, and mobilizing investment for infrastructure in 30 municipalities in Ecuador’s Sierra, Coastal, and Amazonia regions.

With an emphasis on water, sanitation, waste, urban renewal, and transport, we are strengthening the capacity of municipalities to develop sustainable and bankable investment projects. Our team is focusing on enabling investment partnerships between government and industry through innovative platforms for public-private dialogue, investment co-creation, and advanced transaction advisory services.

Private Sector Engagement Strategy

In addition to designing a national PSE Strategy, we are now developing PSE Plans for municipalities to identify entry points for partnerships with the private sector. Two plans are complete in Manta and Ambato, with a project pipeline valued at US$56 million.

Scaling Domestic Impact Investors

We are supporting Ecuador’s first woman-owned impact investment fund with portfolio due diligence to deploy an estimated US$300,000 in scalable businesses in waste management, especially in plastics recycling and alternatives.

Sustainable Finance Roadmap

Through 20+ stakeholder interviews and a detailed investment framework review, we developed a national roadmap that identifies policy reform priorities, investment projects, and financial instruments that will accelerate the mobilization of impact capital.

Public-Private Dialogue (PPD)

We have launched new PPD platforms through strategic alliances with national and subnational organizations to promote trust in subnational governance, promote new public-private investment models, and advocate for policy reform.
